Amazing Detail for the Price
This is a really nice kit. The laser cuts and deck engravings are precise and the sails provided are already sewn.Since this is a very small scale model you will need to sand some of the wood to make the deck fittings thinner. At this scale 2mm on the model equals 2 meters (over 6′) on the real ship.The instructions are picto-graphs and adequate. If you’ve built a few model ships before, the instructions in the kit are everything you’ll need. If this is your first model ship then get yourself a “How to Rig Model Ships” book and a couple different weights of thread and you’ll have everything you need to make a fine display model.Only two real criticisms: First is that the cannon barrels provided are at least 1 1/2 times too large a scale for the ship. The ones provided are 27mm. To be in correct scale 18~19mm would be better. Second is that rings are provided for the rigging blocks. A selection of 1 1/2mm and 2mm blocks from a model supply online store would be worth the investment for realism.

It’s garbage
I is next to impossible to get the hull glued down and there is no instructions that are clear as how to do it and it doesn’t show how to assemble the stern. What instructions there are, are not clear and any verbiage is impossible to understand unless you are from China of Japan. And I can’t even return it because of what assembly I was able to complete. No info on putting it together.
Took me a while to figure out how to put together. No instructions included. Id say I put 60 hours into it. Rigging has to be made. I actually glued the riggings there was no way to tie knots in each one. Enjoyed the challenge. Not for first timers.

This is a piece of junk. Do not buy.
Do not buy this product. First the instructions, if you can call them instructions , is basically pictures. Of there are words than they are broken bad English. We threw it away after day 2. Items were not labeled so you had no idea what went where. It was a terrible experience and really disappointed me and my husband. Just don’t waste your money.

i bought this model to try a ship i often build planes, buy far this is the worst company to purchase anything from, many parts are warped and misfit, GAWEGM is a second rate company just fallowing what other company’s can do. the product was bought with brass cannons and there is no way to install them without remaking the sides of the cannon frame the cannons themselves are to big to fit what the company has provided this will cause you many problems i will not buy another product from them. i would spend a few more dollars and buy from a reputable company so you can at least have fun building a model.

Worst instructions.
The detail of these instructions are horrible. All based on visual representation of what it looks like. Would not recommend as a beginner ship builder.

Very pricey
I think the price is too high for this. The wood is super fragile. You have to be very skilled for this model.
